Summer Food Service Program Information |

What is the Summer Food Service Program?Sponsors provide free meals to a group of children at a central site, such as a school or community center. They receive payments for the meals they serve and for their operating costs. Who QualifiesMeal sites qualify as “open” sites if at least half of the children in the area are eligible for free or reduced price school meals. “Enrolled” sites have at least half of the children enrolled in the summer program are eligible for free or reduced price meals.
