To Cross the Moon

November 21, 2007

An eco-friendly snowkiting expedition across North Dakota is raising awareness for wind energy and climate change.  Snowkiting, a fast-growing sport perfectly suited for North Dakota, using a giant kite to pull someone on a snowboard or skis.  The expedition commences on February 10th, 2008 following a route similar to that of Lewis & Clark.  There will also be a “pre-tour” encompassing the eastern and central parts of our state.  The pre-tour will start on January 7th, 2008 and last two weeks.  The group is offering to give educational presentations to middle schools and high schools along the pre-tour and expedition routes.  For more information contact Jason Schaefer, Education Coordinator, at 701-741-0709 or email pschaefs@gmail.com.  You can also visit their website at www.YouTube.com/2XtM or www.2XtM.com
