Early Childhood Learning Important for Student Success

Pre-Kindergarten standards introduced; collaboration begun on kindergarten entry assessment

Bismarck, ND— The importance of learning during early childhood led the North Dakota Department of Public Instruction to create the state’s first pre-kindergarten content standards and join a multi-state consortium to develop a new kindergarten entry assessment, according to ND State Superintendent of Public Instruction Kirsten Baesler.
